Tending to the witch wound

Move from shame to pride in your identity as a witch

Many witches remain in the so-called broom closet as they grapple with their identities — whether this means hiding your authentic self from those around you, or experiencing complicated feelings of shame, fear, or uncertainty that limit your fullest expression of your identity.

Remaining in the broom closet, either fully or even partially, is often a choice rooted in a desire to remain safe and avoid judgement, othering, or even harm.

In this course, you will explore the historical and cultural contexts which inform psychic wounding that witches often experience, and navigate your way through shame to confidently step out of the broom closet and take pride in your identity as a witch.

This course is for you if:

  • You are a witch (or even witch-curious)

  • You are stuck in the broom closet, hiding your authentic self and/or experiencing complicated feelings that are liming your fullest expression of your identity

  • You want to take pride in your identity as a witch, and feel supported in walking this path

What you’ll receive:

  • Easily digestible modules that can be done at your own pace

  • Modules that can contain videos, creative exercises, and spells to navigate the witch wound

  • Psychoeducation about shame, trauma, and exile and tools to work through them

  • Psychoeducation about the historical and cultural factors that create internalized shame, fear, and uncertainty for witches

  • Tarot, journaling, spellwork, and visualization exercises designed to help you connect with your authentic self

  • The ability to share your comments in the program portal alongside your fellow witches, which I will respond to

Please note:

  • This course is designed as a supportive companion for self-discovery, but is not a replacement for psychotherapeutic treatment.

  • This course will not teach you how to be a witch, because I know that you already know how to be yourself. It will, however, explore the variety of expressions of the witch.

What you need:

  • A tarot deck of your choosing

  • A journal

  • An internet connection
